PROVIDING DEMAND DRIVEN WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS TO HELP SUSTAIN AND GROW THE ECONOMY.
CWI serves as staff to the Northwest Indiana Workforce Board and provides oversight of nine WorkOne centers. WorkOne is your regional one-stop system that provides no-cost career and employment assistance for job seekers, employers, and young adults.
- Developing pipeline of high school and college students for employer demand
- Engaging 30 public K-12 school systems, 7 colleges/universities, and the economic development and employer community
- Contributing to the “Big Goal” (60% of the workforce will have post high school credential by 2025)
Community based services that equip individuals with basic education and entry level job certifications.

CWI is a regional provider of Adult Education and English Language services in addition to overseeing other Adult Education providers. The adult learning network offers basic education, HSE preparation, English Language, job entry certifications, and transition to work or higher education.
- The Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program is dedicated to helping high school students of promise who have experienced challenging or traumatic life experiences achieve success through graduation.
- Currently there are 22 JAG programs available throughout Northwest Indiana.
- JAG students receive adult mentoring while in school and one year of follow-up counseling after graduation.
- Indiana’s program consistently graduates approximately 95% of participants and many students choose to continue their education after high school.
