The 2016 State of the Workforce for Northwest Indiana was released at a breakfast on April 28, 2017.

A survey of over 100 region employers was conducted to create a poster with 10 competencies that are believed to shape a good work ethic.

The Multiple Education Pathways (MEP) blueprint defines how success for Gary Indiana’s school children must be a shared collaborative between the educational ecosystem, employers, workforce development experts, social service providers, economic developers, and policy makers. The study puts to light how these relationships can work together to improve education and achievement.
